What's the metaphor for where you are right now?
Quick question before we get into it: if you had to describe what's holding you back right now - using an object, a weather pattern, anything but a plain explanation - what would it be?
One of the more advanced techniques we cover in NLP training is called Clean Language. The idea: instead of asking "why does that happen?" or handing someone our own interpretation, we ask questions that stay entirely inside their words and metaphors. No leading, no fixing - just curiosity, using their own language back to them.
Turns out people get to the real issue faster when nobody hands them a metaphor to borrow.
Try it on yourself for a second - what's the metaphor for where you are right now? Drop it below, genuinely curious what comes up.
