How the Program Works
NLP Practitioner Certification requires competency across fourteen core areas. The program teaches these across two phases:
Phase 1 — Self-Application (Weeks 1–12)
You turn every technique inward first. You become your own first client. This builds the internal reference you need before you can work cleanly with others.
Phase 2 — Other-Application (Weeks 13–24)
You now apply the same tools in coaching and communication contexts. You work with real practice partners under supervision and receive direct feedback on your precision.
NB. You cannot skip Phase 1. The self-application work is what separates technicians from practitioners.

Phase 1: Foundations of Self-Application
Month 1 — Your Own Structure
-
Week 1: Presuppositions of NLP
Adopt the mental frameworks that make the techniques work. These become your operating system.
-
Week 2: Well-Formed Outcomes
Learn how to define goals so your unconscious mind accepts the direction and begins generating solutions.
-
Week 3: State Management
Develop the ability to shift your own emotional states deliberately — from hesitation to momentum, from doubt to clarity.
-
Week 4: Anchoring
Install triggers for confidence, focus, and calm that you can fire on demand. You build your own state library.
By the end of month 1 you understand the structure of changework, know how to set compelling goals, and have key NLP tools you can use on yourself immediately.
Month 2 — Your Internal Codes
-
Week 5: Submodalities
Map how you code experience internally. Shift the brightness, distance, and intensity of memories and imagined futures.
-
Week 6: Perceptual Positions
Step into different viewpoints to resolve internal conflict, gain insight, and loosen stuck patterns.
-
Week 7: Frames
Re-contextualise problems so new choices become available. Learn to run your own brain instead of running old programmes.
-
Week 8: Strategies
Detect the internal sequences that drive your decisions, habits, and emotional responses. Begin redesigning the ones that do not serve you.
By the end of month 2 you have confidence in following the steps of NLP techniques and are familiar with the internal language patterns that guide useful thinking strategies.
Month 3 — Opening Toward Others
-
Week 9: Sensory Acuity & Calibration
Sharpen your observation of non-verbal signals. Begin calibrating to shifts in others — starting from a foundation of self-awareness.
-
Week 10: Rapport
Establish deep connection through matching and leading. Practised first as a self-regulation discipline, then extended into relationship.
-
Week 11: Introduction to the Meta-Model
Use precision questions to recover deleted, distorted, and generalised information — beginning with your own internal dialogue.
-
Week 12: Integration & Review
Run complete self-interventions using the tools you have installed. Receive feedback on your precision and readiness for Phase 2.
By the end of Phase 1 you know key NLP techniques and have the confidence to execute them on yourself. You are ready to continue toward working with others
Phase 2: Practitioner Application
Month 4 — Precision with People
-
Advanced calibration and real-time state detection in others
-
Deep rapport and intentional mismatching
-
Delivering anchoring as an intervention
-
Submodality interventions for others
Month 5 — Language as Instrument
-
Full Meta-Model application in coaching conversation
-
Milton Model for guided trance and change
-
Sensory predicates and representational system matching
-
Clean language and precision questioning
Month 6 — Integration & Certification
-
Full changework sessions with peer partners
-
Supervised practice with direct trainer feedback
-
Strategy elicitation and installation
-
Final assessment and Practitioner certificationse 2: 12 weeks
A Note on Commitment
Practitioner certification is not a participation trophy. The two-phase structure filters for people who are willing to do the internal work first.
If you complete Phase 1 and choose not to continue, you still leave with working tools for self-development. But the Practitioner designation is reserved for those who complete both phases and demonstrate competency with others.
