Applied Cognitive Mastery Training
Train how people change — not how to motivate them.

DSNLP delivers professional-grade NLP training for people who want to intervene in cognition with precision, responsibility, and repeatable effect — in themselves and in others.
This is not inspirational learning.
It is not personal development theatre.
It is a disciplined training environment for those who want to understand and apply the mechanics of change.
Led by Darren Shaw — NLP Trainer, Psychology BSc, DSNLP integrates:
-
Neuro-Linguistic Programming
-
Cognitive–affective psychology
-
Live application and feedback
So that NLP becomes a working capability, not just a model you talk about.
What This Training Actually Develops
DSNLP trains applied cognitive mastery.
Participants learn to:
-
identify how beliefs, states, and strategies are structured
-
intervene linguistically and perceptually with accuracy
-
produce observable, testable change
-
regulate themselves under pressure while working with others
You don’t just learn what to do.
You learn how and why it works — and experience the effects directly.
Self-application is the training ground.
Competence with others is the standard.
How Training Works
All DSNLP programs are delivered in small, disciplined practice groups.
This allows for:
-
repeated live application
-
supervised practice on others
-
direct trainer feedback
-
peer observation and self-reflection
Participants work on each other in a structured way — not for support or therapy, but to build precision through repetition.
This is a practice environment for people who take thinking seriously.

A Structured Pathway to Change-Work Competence
DSNLP training follows a progressive pathway, designed to develop:
Cognitive precision · Perceptual skill · Ethical responsibility
Progression is earned, not assumed.
Some people complete only the early stages.
Some continue through to mastery.
Both outcomes are correct.
Intro to NLP
Foundations of Applied Cognitive Mastery
3 months · Online · $750
Intro to NLP is the formal entry point into disciplined NLP training.
It is:
-
not a taster
-
not motivational
-
not designed to make you feel better
This stage exists to answer one question:
Can you regulate yourself, think precisely, and begin applying NLP principles responsibly?
Intro to NLP forms 50% of the full DSNLP Practitioner training and establishes the cognitive and perceptual foundations required for working with others.
What This Stage Is For
Before influencing anyone else, you must become the instrument.
You will train:
-
self-regulation under pressure
-
sensory acuity and perceptual precision
-
outcome thinking grounded in evidence
-
language awareness that reveals structure, not content
-
Self-application is not the goal —
it is the training environment for learning change-work mechanics.
If you cannot apply NLP to yourself cleanly, you cannot apply it to others ethically.
Core Skills Developed
-
Well-formed outcomes
Thinking in results, constraints, and evidence — not wishes. -
State regulation and attentional control
Managing internal state deliberately rather than emotionally. -
Sensory awareness and calibration
Noticing behaviour instead of relying on assumption. -
Rapport as regulation, not manipulation
Establishing working alignment without performance. -
Foundations of modelling excellence
Understanding how effective patterns are structured and transferable.
All learning is applied, structured, and reviewed.
Training Format
-
Live 3-hour online sessions
-
Structured homework
-
Guided experiential exercises
-
Demonstration, supervised practice, and co-coaching
You experience NLP directly — not as therapy, but as evidence that the mechanisms are working.
Progression Frame (Important)
Completion of Intro to NLP:
-
counts toward the DSNLP Practitioner pathway
-
does not guarantee progression
Eligibility to continue is based on:
-
engagement
-
application
-
cognitive readiness
For many people, this stage alone results in:
-
sharper thinking
-
improved self-command
-
a disciplined foundation in NLP
That is a legitimate and successful outcome.
FULL DSNLP PRACTITIONER
Additional 3 months · $750
Total Practitioner Journey: 6 months · $1,500
This is where NLP becomes a working skillset.
You are no longer learning about NLP —
you are learning to use it cleanly and responsibly.
What Is Completed Here
You’ll train and integrate:
-
Meta-Model (precision questioning)
-
Frames and reframing
-
Anchoring and state installation
-
Submodalities and perceptual coding
-
Strategies (TOTE logic)
-
Foundational Milton Model
-
Session structure and applied change work
Practitioner Standard
By the end of this stage, you must be able to:
-
Run a simple NLP session competently
-
Regulate yourself while working with others
-
Choose interventions deliberately
-
Explain what you did and why
-
Certification is based on demonstrated competence, not attendance.
Many people stop here — and leave with a solid, usable qualification.
That is a successful outcome.
THE MASTERY PATHWAY
3 months · $750 · Optional
This stage is not required to be a Practitioner.
It exists for those who want to move beyond technique and into understanding.
Who This Is For
Practitioners who:
-
Want elegance instead of more tools
-
Can tolerate feedback and refinement
-
Are curious about why NLP works, not just that it works
What We Develop
-
Cognitive architecture (memory, attention, load)
-
Mechanisms of anxiety and depression
-
Advanced Meta-Model practice
-
Belief ecology (not just belief change)
-
Neurological Levels (properly taught)
-
Modelling foundations
-
Precision under pressure
This stage reveals whether Master Practitioner training is realistic for you.
That information alone is valuable.

The DSNLP Ethos (this matters)
You do not buy your way forward here.
You demonstrate:
-
Engagement
-
Application
-
Capacity
Each level exists to answer one question:
-
Can you regulate yourself?
-
Can you change patterns?
-
Do you understand what you’re doing?
-
Can you create and transmit excellence?
If the answer is no at any stage, stopping is not failure — it’s accuracy.
