I can see clearly now

I’m going to have an event on the 3rd of next month!
It must go well, because a positive result will magnify my career and job role prospects in the future I want for myself.
How important is it that I see what the event looks like, in my mind’s eye?
I am already imagining the event being packed full of all the relevant people who need to be there. The tickets to enter are being handled at the door, a full team of people doing all the various roles needed for the event to go perfectly, all dressed in the appropriate clothing to greet attendees.
I start now imagining all the things that need to happen for this event to go well, so I think about all the people I need to speak to to make this happen in the way I am imagining in my mind.
I will need to confirm the venue, making sure this is 100% secured. I will need to consider the amount of security needed for this event, depending on the level of risk to attendees. I will need to create a single webpage with all the information that attendees need before the attend.
There is a lot more, but you get the idea right?
Now, at a deeper level, its important that I see this image in my mind in a certain way to REALLY get this in my system for hardcore action.
The instructions:
When you look at the imagery that you have in mind of the event, how do you see it?
Is the event Big, Bright and colourful as you look at it? Or is it small, dim and in 2 colours only?
These distinctions of how you can see imagery in your minds eye are referred to as submodalities. Here’s a more extensive list to think about this event:
· Clear or fuzzy
· Dim or bright
· Colour or B/W
· Near or far
· Flat or 3D
· Location?
Now I’ve got a perfect vision in my mind of this event, having burned an image into my mind of success and what that fully looks like, I might want to add some sounds to this in my head!
As I think about this event, is it really loud or is it a quiet event? What sounds are there? Is it the sound of talking or the sound of music? Is it the sound of a single speaker mostly? What does this event sound like?
There is a way to do this if you want to have the best event possible. In fact I have done this several times, ramming out venues with over 1,500 people that were ideal for the event, watching the money come in hand over fist at the door.
My questions for you
· How could this apply in coaching yourself to make objectives come true?
· How could you use this to help others get more clarity around their own outcomes, objectives and visions for the future?
