The Space Cadet Technique: Change How a Limiting Belief Is Held
Someone says, "I know this belief is holding me back, and I still believe it." Arguing doesn't change it. This manual teaches you a short, structured exercise that changes how a belief is held, so it loosens, without needing to know what it is about or whether it is true.
The Space Cadet technique is done entirely in imagination. You guide, and the client's awareness does the travelling: inside the belief, above it, beneath it, alongside it, behind it and in front of it. Then you ask what changed.
What is inside
The six steps: choose the belief, rate it, locate it, move the awareness, use what worked, re-rate and return. Each step has the exact words, what to watch for, common slips and a drill.
Choosing well: four tests for a belief worth working on, and an ecology check before you start.
Your voice: why lower, slower and softer is half the technique, and how to use pauses.
When things don't go to plan: what to do when the number doesn't move, the client wanders or something heavy comes up, with clear stop rules.
A full session from start to finish, and a short chapter on strengthening a belief that already helps.
Practice tools: a one-page script card, session record, observer sheet, skills check and a trainer's session plan for practising in a group of three.
Format: 54-page A4 PDF, about 3.7 MB. Print the script card and use it while you practise, or read it on screen. Instant download after purchase.
Who it is for: practitioners, coaches and trainers who already work one-to-one and use their voice and language deliberately. It is practitioner-level material, taught at Master Practitioner level because most of the skill is in how you say the words. The manual opens with a five-question readiness check.
Please note: this is skills training for coaching and practice, not therapy or medical advice. Use it only with a willing adult and a belief that is strongly held but not raw. The exercise itself has not been tested in research, so treat a client's numbers as their own snapshot, not proof.
