As you read , ensure you are not driving or operating any heavy machinery. Please also ensure that you are awake and alert, because even though listening as you sleep can have positive benefits, I really want you to take in this information and make use of it in the best way for you.
Today we are focusing on introducing the subject of hypnosis and its use as a tool in coaching.
As a coach it can be useful to see your clients as having a conscious mind and an unconscious mind. The unconscious handles all of your bodily systems outside of your awareness, for example your continued breathing, digestive system, heartbeat and more..
Your conscious mind is the one that’s paying attention to the sound of my voice, the meaning of the words and reflecting on how you feel about these ideas…
When communicating with your client, it’s important to take both of these into consideration so that you can address all levels change as they occur within them.
I’ve found over the years through experience and study, that clients might wish to change consciously, but not consciously… as well as the other way around… so ideally, you’d help them with embracing change in all ways, so it feels like something worth doing and sticking to.
But how can we speak to each mind? Well, that’s what I am here to help you with and I assume what you’ve chosen to learn more about. So let’s get started shall we?
Lesson 1
The client will enter your session in a state of their own choosing before you get started. This may or may not be one that is helpful to the stated purpose and outcome of the session, so it’s your responsibility to help them shift into one that is resourceful and relevant to where they need to be.
Saying something positive, reinforcing and appreciative can set the tone for the session, as well as reminding them of how resourceful they can be and have been in embracing the journey of self development with your support.
