About Darren Shaw
Darren Shaw started programming computer games at 12 and has spent his life mastering the intersection of systems and people.
From managing at McDonald’s, to building digital systems for London’s rave scene and Birkbeck University, to training 11,000+ staff in 9-figure organisations as an Oracle specialist—he’s learned how to make complex systems simple and usable.
With 14 years in UK further education designing learner journeys, and now as an NLP Trainer, Darren helps entrepreneurs build the confidence and technology to turn their expertise into income.

Do I pay for individual sessions or buy a package?
You can pay for individual sessions if you wish however I tend to find it's more useful to buy a package so that we can work on a problem or group of problems over time. I try to ensure that each session builds upon whatever has been covered in the last unless new things have come up for you which need immediate attention either way we work together to identify the best course of action to get you taking steps towards achieving your desired outcome.
What is your approach?
Throughout my career, I’ve found it useful to be integrative in my approach. I have studied and use a mixture of approaches including but not limited to the person-centred approach, Neuro-linguistic programming, guided visualisation and applied psychology.
How confidential are the sessions?
I am trained in and abide by the General Data Protection Regulations(GDPR) 2018. I've found that these are the most stringent data protection regulations in the world.
What is NLP?
Neuro-linguiistic programming(NLP) is an approach to rapid change and becoming excellent in any area of life chosen and focused on by you. It was developed in the 1970s by Richard Bandler & John Grinder and has a wide variety of application
Is my data protected?
Yes, in line with General Data Protection Regulations(GDPR), the most stringent data protection laws in the world.
Do we have to go into my past?
Not necessarily no. You’ve already lived it once, i dont find it useful to make you relive it all over again. You may find through our conversations however, that you gain insight of your own accord due to the nature of the lessons you’ve learned and continue to learn.
How effective is coaching?
When done well, its a game-changer. People’s lives change, new insughts formed, all manner of new things experienced.l in my experience the only thing that can get in the way of progress is a lack of commitment to your own progress. Before we get started on the deep dive, we always do an ecology check to make sure that change is what you want.
What happens in a session?
Whatever presents itself as teh challenge is what dictates the session, but generally you can expect guided visualisation, psycho-education, conversational change processes, questions that cause you to reflect on your own consciousness, belief change techniques, values elicitation and more.
Do you provide CE units
No, but these sessions can be used towards ‘other training’ criteria if this is included in your requirements for professional purposes. If you need a certificate to prove attendance, please ask upfront and I can make these available.
Can this count towards my CPD
Yes, either due to the psycho-education, personal coaching or professional conversations element of CPD in the United Kingdom. If you require evidence of coaching sessions, please let me know in advance so i can make this available to you.
Is this expensable in my business?
Yes, this classes as ‘training expenses’ and should be tax-deductble. Check the expenses allowance in your legal jurisdiction.
